WOOL IS WATER RESISTANT.
Unlike human hair or animal hair, wool fibers are in fact hollow with a durable, flexible and water-repellent exterior. Structure of woolen fibers consists of small, overlapping parts like shingles on a roof. The core of each fiber absorbs up to 30% of its weight of water without becoming wet. Meanwhile, the hard outer layer protects against external moisture from rain or snow.
WOOL REMOVES MOISTURE.
In extreme physical exertion, you will need a "breathable" garment, which means it must be able to absorb sweat and evaporate it into the air. Wool can easily absorb up to 30% of its weight without feeling damp. It wicks moisture away from the body, keeping the person "warm and dry". Wool acts as a "temperature controller", so it is possible to protect the body in cold and warm conditions. For this reason, sheep wool clothing is also used in desert regions of the world with intense heat during the day as well as very cold nights. Sheep wool is simply universal for all-year use.
